I believe in equal opportunity dreamers. I believe that every dream locked inside a child’s heart deserves to be set free. I believe that where there is a will there is a way; that determination and hard work should be honored.
That is why I have founded my platform, “Hope for the Arts.”
My platform will address areas that often create obstacles that stand between a person and their dream. Those areas include body image and socio-economic class. No matter who you are- your race, financial situation, body type or any other situation outside of your control should determine your destiny. A child with a dream should be empowered with confidence and resources to help them achieve their goals.
As a dancer, i know the first hand damaging affects that negative body image can have on a person. It can not only destroy a persons self esteem and wound their spirit, it can kill a dream. Through my platform, I am reaching out to children to educate them on healthy ways to stay fit while embracing their natural body type. To empower them so that they can overcome obstacles that they feel have them boxed in because they don’t look a certain way. Additionally, I will offer helpful information that will guide them to resourceful ways to help with funding their education in the arts.
